THROUGH THE BOTANICAL LOOKING GLASS

We feel increasingly moved to use botanical perspectives in  creative ways as a means of communication, in response to the deafening scream of the global climate crisis.  It is certain that life viewed through nature's lens deepens our connection with her, and our ability to see ourselves as part of, rather than in dominion over her.

 Our objective is to illustrate this through personal and collaborative artworks,  challenging entrenched perceptions to help facilitate social justice for ALL species.  It is time to dig deep beyond the limits of human-made boundaries based on maintaining dominant global power systems.  Those controlling the balance of economic and political power have been conscious for too long of an uncomfortable truth that cannot be ignored,  the unfolding of an accelerating planetary ecological disaster of our own creation. I see this as is a symptom of  the patriarchal systems of power which condition  and veil us from  reappraising our priorities and  effectively cooperating  with nature to problem solve.

We all have a part to play, we could all take greater responsibility, we could all create the equilibrium needed to prevent mass extinction.  I am just a tiny seed in the wind, but there is an increasing tide of creative activism rippling across the globe.

Projects may include...   Artistic botanical & multimedia commissions and collaborations for art, activist, non profit organisations or community events using locally & responsibly sourced materials. 

Collaboration and community beyond all percieved boundaries are the keys to our futures. It  always takes a village!
